Administrative routing or one-sided communication?
A clerk may route filed papers to a judge and notify parties through ordinary docket service. The produced email does not, by itself, show that the papers were secretly considered or that the defendant lacked access to the filed documents. It does show an internal communication channel that included the court and prosecution but not the filer.
The records that decide the issue
The docket receipt, service notice, case-management event history, and any judicial staff handling notes can show whether the email merely duplicated proper filed service or supplied one side a separate channel. The public deserves the distinction, and the native logs can supply it.
